Especially Sandro Mariuz of the official Italian Ramones tribute band The Wardogs did huge work with it that there was a really special Ramones mini festival as a part of Home Festival in Treviso, Italy on September 4-7, 2014. Then The Wardogs did play with Marky Ramone, there were foreign special guests like Monte Melnick (Ramones road manager), George DuBose (famous photographer) and Florian Hayler from Ramones Museum Berlin etc. I was there a guest as well.
In this year Sandro Mariuz organize smaller event as a part of Home Festival in Treviso on September 3-6, 2015. There will be a Ramones Sniffing Poster exhibition by Marco Zuanelli and Martino Pasina, some rare items and old photos, Ramones all day DJ set, movies, books etc. and special guests Rick Weinman and Bo Matheson. Weinman was for a long time Johnny Ramone's guitar tech. Matheson was a a while drummer in Los Gusanos. CJ Ramone formed Los Gusanos when the Ramones were still performing. They split in 1999-2000. The Wardogs will play with Rick Weinman andBo Matheson at 8PM at the Isko Tent in Home Festival in September 6, 2015. The Wardogs and Bo Matheson will also play at the European Bike Week, Faaker See, Austria on September 9, 2015.

Ramones Tribute Festival as a part of Home Festival:
September 4-7, 2014.
Sandro Mariuz of official Italian Ramones tribute band Wardogs has worked a lot to make Ramones special event happen as a part of Home Festival in Treviso, Italy in September 4-7, 2014.
- Inside Home Festival there will be an area for the 40th Ramones anniversary. Home Festival is actually biggest Italian music festival with 107 000 people. The Wardogs will play with Marky Ramone in September 5, 2014. There will be memorabilia and poster exhibition, Henry Ruggeri's and George DuBose's photo exhibitions, Ramones road manager Monte Melnick will be presenting Italian edition of his book, Florian Hayler from Ramones Museum Berlin will attend event, Italian and German Official fan clubs are there, 16 gigs are played etc., Sandro Mariuz explained.
Also Sando invited me and I (Jari-Pekka Laitio-Ramone) will be one guest in this 40th Ramones anniversary event. Italian fans will be presenting their books: Marco Zuanelli and Martino Pasina are presenting Ramones Sniffing Poster book. Zuanelli has also released book titled Gabba Gabba Book. Maurizio "Nodus" Nodari is behind of few Ramones books and as well he will attend event.
So Sandro's main band is The Wardogs. The Wardogs released few years ago their Ramones' tribute/ cover album titled Raw & Dirty. Album has by Wardogs 20 covers of Ramones songs or songs that also Ramones covered and a song that Joey covered What A Wonderful World. Bonus track is Blitzkrieg Bop and it is a live version from a show that Marky Ramone played with Mariuz etc. under name Marky Ramone & Andead at Palaverde, Treviso, Italy.

Second event in the series No More Heroes is a tribute night to the Ramones at Tivoli De Helling:
- No More Heroes events are about heroes who changed lives with their music. The first one was for The Smiths, now the spotlights are shining on the Ramones. Garage band Traumahelicopter plays Ramones songs, there is a DJ who is a hardcore Ramones fan and plays Ramones and music from bands that influenced them, there's a quiz and if you like you can go watch End Of The Century documentary earlier that day in the arthouse cinema, explained much appreciated journalist and Ramones fan Bram van Schaik.

- Beat On Cancer Germany benefit event is in Dusseldorf, Germany on September 7-9, 2012.
All three days take place at the Bar 95, the club house of Dusseldorf's local football club Fortuna 95 Dusseldorf (address: Flinger Broich 87, 40235 Dusseldorf). Venue's capacity is strictly limited to around 350.
- This will our 18th Anniversary since the first Ramones tribute we did back on September 9, 1994. All our Ramones tributes been sold-out in the past (1994, 1997, 2004). Friday and Saturday will be "regular" late evening shows, but maybe there are some special events like signing sessions etc. Also there will be autographed stuff to be auctioned at the Beat On Cancer Germany for sure (by Richie Ramone etc.) All proceeds will go to the children's hospice Regenbogenland ("Rainbow's country") in Dusseldorf, Jörg Buscher explains.
He organise Beat On Cancer Germany with some friends. So some fans might remember Loudmouth! fanzine and CD. Jörg did fanzine together with Christian Pemsel. It was the official fanzine for the Ramones 20th anniversary etc. Read more details of Loudmouth! here.
Special guest is "official" Ramones photographer George DuBose. You can see in his exhibition at Bar 95 rare Ramones photos. DuBose did lot Ramones promo photo sessions and photographed and designed many Ramones albums covers. DuBose also has released a great book entitled, I Speak Music - Ramones. You has opportunity to see DuBose's works, buy prints and book and get them signed by him. Gao wrote afterwards: "About 300 people attended a show. Show was from 8PM to 11.30PM. The sound was so loud, that the resident who lives near the bar called the police. Last band covered almost ten Ramones songs, and they also sang Iggy Pop & The Stooges and Dead Boys, wrote Gao after the show."

Arne-Johan Martinsen, Ivan Syversen and their friends are organising special Ramones tribute night called Real Cool Time at Bondernes Hus in Fredrikstad, Norway on October 4, 2008. Fredrikstad is just one hour drive on the highway south of Oslo.
- Name of the tribute band is Ramonesbandet. Thrond from The Squareheads will be singer. Thrond will play with some other extremely skilled musicians from Halden (probably the town in Norway with the highest density in Ramones fans). Guitarist is Petter Jensen, bassist is Lars-Ivar Borg and drummer is Fisken, explain Arne-Johan Martinsen.
Arne-Johan, Ivan and their friends asked me (Jari-Pekka Laitio-Ramone) to be guest in this great event. I will be there on October 4, 2008. They asked if I can do book signing, some DJ'ing etc. Also Ivan, Arne, Ulf Bendiksen etc. will be doing an DJ set's. Night will start at 19. Ramones tribute band Curse Of The Ramones does play 3 shows in July. First gig is at The Hoot Bar in Downpatrick on July 22, 2006 and second show at The Limelight in Belfast on July 23, 2006. They're also playing in a Ramones convention on the 29th July at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, UK. Here's a bit more of the Ramones Convention. There were three Ramones tribute bands and one an old punk band called The Vibrators. Marky Ramone was going to appear on event as well at first, but he had to cancel it. But the show went on. Curse Of The Ramones kicked of the show to a small crowd and they went down well doing about a 45 minute set. Then it was The PheRamones who wore wigs and pretended to be the Ramones. After that it was Havana-go-go from Birmingham, UK. The more the night went on the bigger the crowd got and then Curse Of The Ramones went on for their second set. The fans went wild. Curse Of The Ramones played for example Blitzkrieg Bop and Bonzo Goes To Bittburg and got two encores. You can hear them here. Their homepage is here.

terrific lyrics. They've been touring also outside of Germany, like they
had a sold out show at Charlies Nightclub in London, England on 7th
February, 2006. Now they commemorate the King of Punk - Joey Ramone on his
55th birthday at Indra's on May 19, 2006. Hamburg Ramones is also
recorded song titled Birthday Bash. To celebrate this very special
event in style, Hamburg Ramones have invited Dortmund's glam rock pals,
The Schangels to appear with them live
on stage for this "one off" occasion.
Hamburg Ramones themselves will be joined by guitar legend Jenzzz G. of
Gigantor fame.There at Indra's also Beatles has played. Indra's address is: Große Freiheit 64, Hamburg, St. Pauli, Germany. Night start at around 8PM. Entrance fee will be 8 euros at the door (no advance). All visitors are respectfully requested to be wearing long black hair in praise of Joey Ramone.
Hamburg Ramones will also be playing at the ANTIfest 2006 near Prague, Czech Republic on August 3-6, 2006. ANTIfest is one of the East Europe's biggest punk festivals. Hamburg Ramones will be playing on Saturday (August 5, 2006) night as the last band on the big stage. Their musical repertoire consists of original compositions written by band members as well as scores selected from their multi-cultural world community. They can go with punk, Latin, hip hop, jazz... There's going to be in May 19 pilgrimage. It starts from Forest Hills High School (Rock And Roll High School...) at noon. It's ten-mile pilgrimage to the sacred spots in the Ramones legacy, ending at Tompkins Square Park at 8PM etc.
The Hungry March Band will join the procession in proper pilgrim-freak style, with a Joey giglio, self-flagellation and other saintly pursuits, and they lead the way. Then they're having a tribute to Joey Ramone at CBGBs Gallery, it's titled The Feast Of St. Joey. Also other bands are performing. There night begin at 8PM.

Ramånes is a Swedish Ramones cover band. They're playing at Nalen, Stockholm on May 4, 2006 in tribute band competition arranged by Rockklassiker 106.7 radio station. Other bands that night does play U2, Thin Lizzy, Twisted Sister and Iron Maiden sets. More info here.

Some of the bands who played were The Burnouts (w/ Piet from Hot Hod Moses on drums), Hellroute 16, President Fetch, Powergrill, On Trial and Heatfarm. It was a very good night with 400-500 guests who all had a good time while respecting the great Joey Ramone. The show was free to attend.

Tribute night started at midnight on May 18th, 2001, there was two rooms. The first one had a big stage with a large screen. Bands played there. The second room had a screen only. They did show Joey's stuff here. The following bands were told to play: Senzabenza (they made a record with Joey, they retired two years ago but does a re-union for this event), Crummy Stuff, Retarded, Stinking Polecats, Loco live, B.B.C., Berenice's Beach, Maradonas.

Night was organisated by Lou Molinaro. There was members of Teenage Head (Frank + Gord), Forgotten Rebels (Mike), Slander/Junkhouse (Ray), Trouble Boys (Mike), Orphans (3 of them - Dave played bass), CJ Sleez (Carmen), Vapids (Jimmy), Spoiled Rotten (all 3), Buckshot Bebee and a couple of others. Mostly Ramones songs, although some bands did a few of their own.

Hilly Kristal and Joey's brother Mickey Leigh and other people were doing this memorial concert for a Joey Ramone memorial concert. Night was titled Remembering Joey: A Brother's Tribute by Mickey Leigh. MC'd by Handsome Dick Manitoba and George Tabb. Admission was free.
Mickey hosted the event and performed four of his favorite songs written by Joey: I Remember You, I Want You Around, Danny Says and Questioningly. His band included longtime Ramones producer Daniel Rey, Dictators guitarist and recent Joey Ramone collaborator Andy Shernoff, and drummer Pat Carpenter, from Leigh's band, Stop. The Stitches, a New York punk band also performed a few Ramones songs.

1) There was also some Joey-tributes in Ne LuuPojat Surf -gig on April 28, 2001. Date was confirmed already before king passed away. Line-up had members from 3 legendary "Ramones-influenced" band: Ne Luumäet, Pojat and Luonteri Surf.
After songs Onnellinen Perhe (name means We're A Happy Family) and Eka Kerta Pojat singer-guitarist Miika asked people to listen, cause he wanted to try to get total silence, and total silence was successful, in a memory of Joey Ramone. Then started Sheena Is A Punk Rocker, followed by Rockaway Beach and Blitzkrieg Bop.
