REST OF MY TRIP AFTER JOEY RAMONE BIRTHDAY BASH IN NEW YORK ON MAY 19, 2009

2) This is called "walking tree." So it is one tree in this photo and it moves 15-20 centimeters every year as guide told me. The tree needs to move, it just grows roots on that side and lets other roots die. Read more here.

I wanna write a little bit of last part of this my trip in May-June, 2009. My third book in particular is a result of 4,5 years of work. I worked for a long time around 20 hours a day to get Ramones: Soundtrack Of Our Lives finished in time. I really needed to have a break and I wanted to gongralute myself that I survived. I got book from print in afternoon on May 18, 2009! 3-4 hours later I started my trip to Joey Ramone Birthday Bash in New York, and I had lot books with me to take to the USA. Thanks to Taija Holm, I got idea to start to think to have holiday trip to Bahama, Caribbean or Central-America etc. Taija just did mention one day of trip she and her friend Ninni made to Nassau in Bahama.
Few days before this trip I asked from Taija site where she booked her trip. It was http://www.travelocity.com/. While I was in New York/ Connecticut, I started to look destinations. Noah "Noki" Citrin gave me lot advices and he suggested Costa Rica after I told I would like to go to destination where nature is beautiful. I never cared so much of "beach holidays."

When I was one night browsing website of hotels etc. in Costa Rica, I found perfect place - Hotel Lands In Love - Tierras Enamoradas. It is located in a hidden valley in the middle of a cloud forest, and 75 minutes far away from San Jose's airport (San Jose is a capital of Costa Rica). Staff at Hotel Lands In Love was really helpful and they said taxi can pick me from airport to hotel. Price of taxi was confirmed in advance.
I never visited any kind of rain forest before. And what was big bonus, hotel is run by people who are vegetarians and are animal lovers. There were in all 70-80 cats and dogs, also horses etc. Everyone of those 18 people are vegetarians. All of them are originally from Israel.
I have been vegetarian since around 1995 and I was happy to stay in place where I do not need to worry of my food being made wrong way etc. Of course there also was chance to choose vegan meals etc. People were really friendly and they helped as much as they could. Like when I had some problems.

In one day I was in a trip where I went around 10 cables as a "road" in air above of cloud rain forest. Longest cable was 750 meters and maximum speed in one was 60-70 km/h. I did series of six photos where you get a feeling how long distance is and how it goes. For 2 photos I marked person inside the white center. So I also went all those "cable roads." You can imagine how it looks like when I videotaped few trips of those...

There was chance to attend and experience lot special adventures. I wrote of few experiences I had, thanks to guides and staff at resort etc.:
1) In one day I was in a trip where I went around 10 cables as a "road" in air above of cloud rain forest. Longest cable was 750 meters and maximum speed in one was 60-70 km/h.
2) I did tarzan swings. "Cable lian" took me in air above of forest. Distance to ground was around 80-100 meters.
3) I was doing canonying where I first went straight down from bridge around 40-50 meters using rope. Security things were OK. We went down also 3-4 waterfall kind of things, so all rocks were wetty and slippy. I didn't fall down in any time too badly.
4) I walked by myself in cloud rain forest to lovely waterfall. It was really long and beautiful waterfall. In general, there were signs how to get there and for some other places close of vegetarian resort.
5) A day when I was returning to Finland, staff at Hotel Lands In Love booked for me trip to coffee plantation where I had chance to follow coffee making progress from the beginning.
