Here's latest info of the Johnny Ramone guitar model, they're also signed
by Johnny himself! Only 30 of these signed guitars will be available
worldwide! In fact, Mosrite has stated that these may be the last run of
Johnny Ramones models. Snow white Ventures II model with stop
tailpiece, Dimarzio single coil bridge pickup, Seymour Duncan neck mini
humbucker pickup, and Gotoh tuners. Two different knobs, just like Johnny
had it! Includes deluxe soft case with Mosrite logo. Only $1795.
Rocco has finally got one of the new mosrites.
Rocco should have more in a month or so and he wanted to let everybody
know for whom he didn't got chance to respond, that she's very sorry for
not replying, He's just been very busy and WAITING for this one to
get.
BASIC INFO OF THE GUITARS:
Mosrite Guitars is still in business and will be building RAMONES Model
guitars. Rocco Egizio will be an authorised distributor for
these guitars and other models. At first there was plans that first
are ready in may, but Rocco is STILL waiting these guitars, hopefully
first shipment of 5 should be ready in the near future. Four of these
guitars will be available for sale. More will be made as demand
increases.
There will be 3 basic body styles
available with several different colors. The craftsmanship that goes into
these guitars has to be seen to be fully appreciated. Rocco is
building own homepage and he send soon to me pictures also.
You can see Johnny playing one of these in the Spiderman and I Don't Wanna
Grow Up videos. There is also a picture of Johnny and Semie Moseley[
founder of Mosrite Guitars] in the Ramones book An American Band. Johnny
is holding a black one in the picture. I believe this is the first one
built.
Ever since Semie died Loretta Moseley has been working very hard to
keep Mosrite up and running and it appears that 1998 is going to be the
year for Mosrite to start making a big comeback. Mosrites are
historically very collectible and often increase in value, The list
prices start at $1649.00 for the base model and up to $2649.00 for the top
of the line model. I realize that this is not cheap but, are extremely
well made and handmade quality does not come cheap. These prices include a
hardshell case.
Low serial numbers are always more desirable to collectors and hold their
value in the market. Very few of these guitars have been built since they
started making them and I'm hoping that I will be able to have more built.
