Record Store
Day (RSD) is an annual event inaugurated in 2007. It supports
thousands of independent record stores around the world. There
was one Ramones related Record Store Day release on April 22, 2024. It
was Ramones: The 1975 Sire Demos (LP). This was printed only 6000
copies. Pressed on black splattered clear vinyl. This collection
includes Ramones'
earliest known studio recordings for Sire Records. The 1975 Sire Demos
has 13 songs. All original tracks were produced by Tommy Ramone. These
demos got Ramones signed to Sire Records.
From these 13 songs were Loudmouth, 53rd & 3rd, I Wanna Be Your
Boyfriend, Chain Saw, Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue, I Don't Wanna Walk
Around With You and Today Your Love, Tomorrow The World included in 1976
debut album Ramones (1976), songs What's Your Name (under the title
What's Your Game), You're Gonna Kill That Girl and You Should Never
Have Opened That Door were included in second album Leave
Home (1977) and song I Don't Care was included in third album Rocket To
Russia (1977).
