Here are first photos of CJ Ramone's (singer-bassist), Michael
Stamberg's (drummer) and Steve Soto's (guitarist) show at the Edone in
Bergamo, Italy on July 5, 2012. As you know, when Dee Dee Ramone quit
the Ramones in 1989, the band was able to find
a new level of energy the day CJ (Christopher Joseph Ward) was added as
a member. He remained as the Ramones bass player until the very end of
their career (August, 1996).
I (Jari-Pekka Laitio-Ramone) traveled to this show at Edono in
Bergamo, Italy on July 5, 2012, from my home country Finland.
Guitarist Steve Dawson had to quit band just before this show in
Italy. CJ, Stamberg and Soto played show also two days later at Semana
Cultural Das Velas Festival, Island of Sao Jorge in Portugal.
Soto was another
producer of CJ's album
Reconquista.
He has in history bands like Agent
Orange, 22 Jacks and The Adolescents.
First shows Michael Stamberg played with CJ Ramone and Daniel Rey
(Daniel played with CJ few years) in
March-June,
2010. I asked from CJ
how he knows with Michael. CJ wrote to me in April 27, 2010: "Michael
Stamberg is a local guy from Long Island, New York. I met him when Los
Gusanos (CJ's early band) was playing in NYC and Long Island. Our bands
shared a bill a few times."
Here are now more than ten photos in three pages. I will add more photos
and write details/ story later...
