Yesterday evening, on April 22 2000 Dee Dee Ramone played live at the Albani in Winterthur. The Gig was announced to start at 9pm. I was there a little bit earlier, maybe at a quarter to 9. The Albani is a small Club with Bar, just big enough for about 200 people.

About at 9.45 Dee Dee, Barbara and their drummer came upon stage and they started with "Rockaway Beach". Right in this first song, the drummer broke some part of his drums (I don't know what exactly), so there was a few minutes break because they had to fix the drums. Then they played on. They played most of the old Ramones hits like "Blitzkrieg Bop", "Sheena Is A Punk Rocker", "I Don't Wanna Walk Around With You", "Loudmouth", "Beat On The Brat", "Judy Is A Punk", "Cretin Hop", "I Don't Wanna Go Down To The Basement", "Teenage Lobotomy", "53rd & 3rd", "Listen To My Heart", "Pinhead" and "Commando".

They played some of their new songs like "Hop Around", "Rock & Roll Vacation In L.A." and "Master Plan" as well as other songs like "Chinese Rocks", "Born To Lose" and a some old Rock'n'Roll hits. All in all they played on for about an hour, and the gig was over at 11pm.

Dee Dee still played a fast and good rocking guitar - he was great. Barbara plays her bass as if she was playing Ramones songs since she was born - she was great. And the drummer played his drumms just perfectly and fast too, he fit very well to the others - he was great. I had a whole lot of fun this evening, really enjoyed the gig!
